Bulk billing is available to concessions card holders, veterans affairs and children under 16 except on Saturdays.

Dr Judy Hesse
MBBS (Hons) Dip RACOG
Dr Judy brings to Better health on Buderim her own unique style, a wealth of knowledge, and over 30 years experience. “Dr Judy” is energetic and passionate about caring for the health of the whole person. She enjoys providing quality care to all her patients.
An accomplished Sydney University graduate, she completed her training at Royal North Shore Hospital and both Children’s Hospitals before embarking on family practice in the north western suburbs of Sydney. She has also completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Judy has raised and schooled her 2 children on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Neil Cradick
Bmed Sci BM BS, MRCGP, AMCc, FRACGP
Neil is a family doctor living on the sunshine coast since 2001. His work interests include best practice medicine and mental health. Orginally from Wales, he has 3 children and enjoys running and making pizza.
Dr Kimberly Harper
I have been a GP for 10 years, working on the Gold Coast, Uk, then the Sunshine Coast since 2008. I enjoy women’s health, care of older patients, Cardiology, and the variety that general practice brings. I live in Buderim and love the community spirit here, and hope I can contribute to it by working here.
Outside of work I enjoying running, reading, and spending time with my husband and children.
Dr Karen Avory
Commencing 19th April 2021
Dr Avory completed her undergraduate training in England at the University of Nottingham and GP training in Manchester. In England she worked as a GP in both Manchester and London and completed further diplomas in women’s health, family planning and paediatrics.
She began working in Australia in Perth WA in 2011 and participated in a further diploma in Women’s health at King Edward Memorial Hospital, as well as a certificate in family planning with the Family Planning Association of Western Australia.
Dr Avory relocated to Sydney in 2013 with her husband’s work and has since had 3 children as well as working in a few diverse locations as a GP. She is passionate about all aspects of general practice but still enjoys focusing on her interests in women’s health and paediatrics. She also has a keen and developing interest in lifestyle challenge, mental health, and chronic disease.
Most recently she has followed up on her experience in teaching. Recently taking undergraduates from the University of Western Sydney and embarking on a role with the University of Notre Damn and postgraduate medical students.
For something different Dr Avory worked with ITV and Granada studios in England for shows such as Coronation Street, I’m a Celebrity and Countdown. She would like to do more media work one day.
Dr Avory has recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast In her time outside of work she is kept busy with her young family and interests in sport and nutrition
Dr Jonathan Harper
BMedSci, BMBS, MRCPsych, MRCGP, FRACGP
Dr Harper graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1999. He then spent some time working in hospitals in Australia, before returning to the UK to complete his General Practice training in London. He permanently migrated to Australia in April 2008.
Dr Harper has a broad range of clinical interests including diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and child health.
Dr Harper also has an interest in improving patients’ access to quality healthcare. He has been involved with various local committees and organisations to help improve the integration of services between the hospitals, general practices and other community health services.
Dr Rebecca Barnes
Dr Rebecca Barnes graduated from St Georges University in London in 1989 before migrating to Australia in 1991. She has been the owner of Better Health on Buderim since 2008.
Dr Barnes is no longer consulting but has been utilising her time at the practice in keeping the doctors and staff up to date with health information management, information technology, and pandemic planning
Dr Warren Heywood
Warren was born in the UK and graduated from Cardiff, South Wales in 1991. Having attained membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, he came to work in Queensland for a year in 1996. He then settled back in Cardiff, where he worked in his own practice for 17 years, becoming a GP trainer, honorary teacher and senior partner.
The appeal of Australia was always there and having met and married an Australian, he has now emigrated here permanently.
